Happy New Year...?

Kind of a downer beginning to 2012.  I'm off on a 14-hour drive to Nebraska for my grandmother's funeral (driving my mother up there---yes, I'm a dutiful only child) and my family loses my cat...poof...vanished...my body, nothing...they can't find her anywhere...
